PEDDINGHAUS HAMMER

Marking: "300" Cogwheel, note: gear had 13 cogs

Note: any hammer with "DIN" marking is not original Pre-A. The "DIN" engraving indicates 1960's or newer. In addition, the newer hammer's gear cog engraving had 16 cogs.

Decal: Peddinghaus decal

Size: "The handles were up to 300mm in length and made from either ash or hickory to DIN standard 5111." -R.A.

DIN standard 1041

Early Hammers with the DIN marking did not have the "DIN" engraved in the face of the hammer, rather they had a "DIN 1041" Decal applied to the hammer as evidenced by these photos courtesy of Victor Ingram. Note that there are 13 cogs on the cogwheel engraved on the hammer face. (Note: correction to # of cogs),
