Note: This next section will most likely lead to some disagreements, but I will include proof of what follows; 1974-1975 kits commonly found "DROPPED FORGED STEEL" Wrenches mixed in with "SELECTED SPECIAL STEEL".... whatever was available was used to assemble the kit, with one possible exception, it appears that all the wrenches were finished in a Zinc-coating. This coating was very delicate, and most times would even assume the pattern of the basketweave bags. Following the "DROPPED FORGED STEEL" section below, you will find examples of "wrench sets" in "NOS" kits, one of which is in my possession.
